Hurry hurry!!!

This lovely puppy is a liver Bedlington Terrier. Unfortunately, not MY liver Bedlington Terrier. But it's the dog I want. My husband is allergic to dogs and Bedlingtons are not only adorable, but also hypoallergenic. We met with a breeder last year who has promised us a liver puppy. However, the female has taken a REALLY LONG time to go into heat and the male she was going to use was recently neutered! What crappy luck!! I am getting rather desperate for a puppy, let me tell ya.
This morning we saw a couple of ladies who always walk their adorable greyhound along the creek. Today, however, they had a new addition. A greyhound puppy! It was hilarious because the older one was just walking calmly along, while the puppy looked like it was on springs! She was so excited to be out! It gave me that I-really-really-want-a-dog-pang in my chest, that I'm assuming might closely resemble the pang that some women feel for children. Hmm...that's kind of scary... But just look at that face!!! :)

I know it's been over a year since you posted this Bedlington photo, but I just came across your blog. Did you ever get a Bedlington puppy? We live in New Mexico and have a one-year-old "blue" (really, he's light grey) one. The best dogs ever! I really love your blog and your aesthetic sense!

Oh hooray for you both!! We love our little Kirby so much. Did your puppy have her copper toxicosis tests and eye tests and all of that? Bedlingtons are so unique and so few are born each year in the U.S. that I know most breeders get tests done on new litters. Well, good luck with your adorable new puppy. I can't wait to see photos. Here are links to our Bedlington when he was a baby:

Oh adorable!!!!!!!!!! The breeder we have has done all of those tests and will give us a health certificate when we go pick her up, so that's good. I'm so excited to get her. I can't wait. Did your blue bedlington stay that grayish color or did he lighten up? Our's is liver. I'll post a more recent picture now...

Hi again. I just posted a comment on your entry with your baby puppy photo. Well, Kirby REALLY lightened up at the end of his first year and now, to most peoples' eyes, he's white. He's a "blue" Bedlington, so he's actually VERY light grey. Your little girl will lighten up and be white! Awwww.
